(hereafter referred to as “launchlabs Sofia” “the Company”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is a personal data controller by virtue of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and it collects, records, stores, destroys or otherwise processes personal data in the capacity of a controller.

Why We Collect It
launchlabs Sofia collects and processes your personal data for the following purposes:

for protection of its legitimate interest in regards to the execution of the contracts concluded with our customers;

for planning, reporting and tracing the contacts regarding the implementation of the main scope of activity of launchlabs Sofia—conducting trainings in Design Thinking and other trainings and/or events;

document and promote the event through photography and video;

for marketing purposes (in the event you have agreed to that)—providing information and materials for services of launchlabs Sofia corresponding to the requirements of GDPR, including: newsletters and marketing notifications by launchlabs Sofia—informational emails about trainings and/or events organized by the Company; notifications about new products and services by launchlabs Sofia; invitations for events organized and sponsored by launchlabs Sofia;

for managing the business strategy of launchlabs Sofia;

for the protection of our legitimate economic interests—for exercising our right to a defence when our rights and legal interests have been infringed, for audits, etc.
Who We Share It With
When needed, launchlabs Sofia shall share these personal data with our service providers, such as our providers of technical services, such as support and hosting service providers;
when launchlabs Sofia receives a request from a judicial authority or from another legally authorized authority having the power to provide this personal data in correspondence with the legislation in force.
Event photos and videos may be shared publicly on our website, social media, or in future promotional materials.
International Transfers
In light of its scope of activity, launchlabs Sofia may send your personal data to countries other than the country in which they were first collected.
These countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you have initially provided your data.
In this aspect, launchlabs Sofia transfers the Personal Data to a third country or international organization outside the territory of the European Economic Area by complying with the applicable legislation by transferring the data only to people who ensure the same level of protection as GDPR.
Data Retention
The personal data of individuals who participate in trainings, seminars and/or events organized by launchlabs Sofia, is stored for 5 years since the termination of the event.
Your Rights
You have the right to request from launchlabs Sofia the following:

Access to your personal data, i.e. you have the right to know what kind of personal data is processed by us. launchlabs Sofia shall provide you, when requested, with a free copy of the processed personal data related to you. When you submit a request electronically, the controller shall provide you with the information in a widely popular electronic format;

Correction (the right to request correction of your data stored by us, if it is inaccurate or incomplete);

Erasure (“the right to be forgotten”). You have the opportunity to request erasure of your personal data in the following cases:

if your personal data is no longer needed for the purposes it is collected;

if the data subject exercises their right to object and there are no legal grounds for the processing taking precedence;

if the processing was illegal;

if the controller is legally obliged to delete the data.
However, the right to erase is not applied in the cases when the data is processed:

to exercise the right of freedom of speech and the right of information;

to conform to a legal obligation, which requires processing provided for in the European Union law or the law of a member state, which is applicable in respect to the controller or for the performance of a task of public interest or in the exercise of official powers provided to the controller;

for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes as per Art. 89 (1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, insofar as there is a chance that the erasure could seriously hinder achieving the purposes of this processing; for establishing, exercising or defending any legal claims.

Restricting the processing of your personal data. If you need to check the accuracy of the data, the purposes or legality of its processing, you can ask the Controller to limit (stop) the processing of your data.

Objection against the processing. In respect to the data being processed based on the grounds “legal interest”, you have the right to object the processing at any time and on grounds related to your particular situation. In the event such an objection is made, the Controller is obliged to terminate the processing of your personal data, unless the controller proves that there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing, which take precedence over your interests, rights and freedoms or in the event the data is processed for establishing, exercising or defending any legal claims.

Data portability (i.e. to request your data in a structured, popular and machine-readable format).

When your data is being processed based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Changes to This Policy
launchlabs Sofia can at any time change this data protection policy.
If launchlabs Sofia plans to modify this policy (such as, if we have the intention to use your personal data for purposes other than the indicated in the policy which was current as of the moment of collecting the data and in compliance with the legality principle), a notice for the changes in the revision of the current data protection policy will be published and the revision will enter into force on the date of its publishing.
